Great product and brand. Right out of the box the PoweCore Fusion was presented nicely and came with a mini USB cable, along with a mesh carrying case. The factor that makes the power pack stand out is the built in wall plug. You don't need to mess with an extra cable to charge the actual device. For me, I have been charging the power bank into the wall outlet while charging my phone too. Very reliable and gives your device enough juice for about two charges. The only constructive criticism I have for this product (please take this with a grain of salt) is I would ideally want it to be more scratch resistent. Rugged enough for everyday carry. Overall, outstanding product.

First I'd like to say Anker is the only assessory maker I will by from if they have a product available. The PowerCore Fusion is an excellent example of their high quality chargers and batteries, combined. I have several Anker batteries, chargers, cables and speakers. The PowerCore Fusion is great for my 10 year old as she brings it with her everywhere for her iPad. Since it has two USB plugs it can also charge her younger brothers iPad at the same time, saving sanity on long car rides in traffic. I carry one of these along with 2 much larger Anker battery packs and several of their higher end cables in my backpack and laptop bag. Having to fly all over the world for work I've learned to always have batteries. I've included a picture of what I carry in my laptop bag. The chargers/batteries come with a nice bag to store them in. Their higher end cables also come with an executive looking case and you can feel the quality. They might not be the least expensive but you get way more for the money in quality and longevity.

I think this is one of the best portable chargers available -- the integrated plug is very convenient. It has plenty of capacity for me -- 5000 mAH is twice the capacity of my cellphones battery -- without being overly heavy. It fits neatly in my inner coat pocket when my daughter wants to hunt for Pokemon in the mall. It can serve as our wall charger on vacation with its two USB ports. The construction seems very sturdy. I can't recommend this portable charger enough: we've been extremely pleased.

Best travel charger ever! This thing is always in my backpack and took it on a two week trip around SE Asia and it was perfect. I'd charge my phone overnight and have a fully charged phone and battery in the morning. The best part was that instead of carrying two cables (one for my phone and one for a battery pack) I just had to carry one. I usually just used one USB port, but having the second to share with a friend has come in handy. The one negative: no fast charging. I usually didn't need this since there was all the juice in the battery to use, but having fast charging would have come in super handy at times I needed to top up and didn't want to carry around the battery when going out. So Anker, please add fast charging, ok thanks.

Here's why I love it: Compact Size For a 5000 mAh battery, this thing is already small. Not to mention that it has a 2-prong plug built in as well as TWO PowerIQ ports and a micro power input (in case you have to charge it without a wall socket, as I sometimes do with my Anker 21W PowerPort Solar. All that in a product barely bigger than Apple's standard 10w wall charger: Think about it this way: This is smaller than two Apple 10w chargers put together, but able to charge two Apple devices out of one port at the SAME TIME. That's enough to be a major selling point for this product. But that's not all... Charging Speed If it wasn't enough that this packs the basic utility of two Apple 10W chargers into a single outlet package that's smaller than those two chargers put together, this little gem charges my iPad FASTER than the Apple charger to begin with. The Apple 10W charger plugged into my iPad (at 33% battery) provides better-than-advertised 10.5W of charge, the plugged-in PowerCore Fusion 5000 provides better-than-Apple 12W of charge, and the battery on the PowerCore Fusion 5000 providing still-better-than-Apple 11.1W of charge, all under the same circumstances: Flexibility I carry the PowerCore Fusion 5000 every day because it fits every situation I might find myself in: at a socket, away from a socket, or even at an old 2-prong socket, this product still provides compatibility and protection to your devices. Inside its included carrying pouch, I have a 6-inch USB-A to USB-C cable and an apple lighting cable, the two cords I use most. I also keep a micro cable in in bag for charging my SoundBuds Curve and other peripheral gadgets. Battery Size At 5000 mAh, it's not going to blow your socks off with multiple recharges, but it will recharge even a huge battery like the iPhone xs Max 3,174 mAh once all the way. iPad's 11,000 mAh battery will drain it completely, but in that scenario you just need to find a socket. The great thing is, you still don't need to carry a separate charger. The wall charger is right there for you in the fusion, and you can charge another device at the same time. Price Retailing at only $25, this thing is an absolute steal. It comes in three colors, and being one of Anker's older products, you can find it at a discount if you are patient. I can tell you, after using it heavily for over a year, it's worth every cent of the $25, not to mention a discount from that retail price point. Cons The only thing I can think of, which some have mentioned before, is that the two-prong plug may fall out of an older, worn socket. While I have yet to experience this myself (even with the old sockets in my house) the 5000 mAh battery does make this heavier than a traditional wall charger. That being said, some sockets are just garbage. I have seen other, lighter wall chargers come out of sockets because they are simply worn out and don't have tension left in them. I would fault the socket rather than the charger for this, since the Fusion has never fallen out in my extensive experience. That's why it's as close to perfect as i think a product can be :)

Bought this in May 2017 for my other half. She is always travelling, driving from job to job, business meetings, etc. and carries laptops, phones, you know the type. On vacation, she carried chargers, batteries, and it was disturbing to see all the extra crap in the purse, so I was hoping I could at least help here with 1 item that replaced 2...Charger and Spare Battery. Voila. Product found. This thing is absolutely great. Charged a S6 twice from dead at Disney in December, and a few weeks ago we were away from power sourced for a day, and the S6 died twice again...dead dead twice running GPS all day. While the phone was busy with GPS mapping, we plugged the phone in to this little gem, and the phone charged to 100%, then we killed the phone again, then charged it again too 100% all the while never turning off the GPS. It is a bit larger in volume than a charger and a single cylinder battery, but eh, 1 less thing to hunt for. I don't really know how long it took to recharge this battery from dead, as it was never completely dead, and I plug into wall at night. Also it charges the phone (in a wireless stand) while it charges itself...or maybe sequences, but phone charged in same time as on Samsung 700mA charger. Get one..you'll love it, especially waiting on line at Disney!

This device is another in a long line of fantastic devices that I've purchased from Anker over the years. While i do think the housing is a little larger than I was hoping, i.e. pocket ability could have been increased if the ports and the plug were rotates (if possible) 90 degrees. However, It's incredibly well constructed and I can trust that throwing in my bag and traveling anywhere with it will never require a second thought. No USB wall plug, at this point, should come with a single USB port. It's nonsensical for outlet use, and it's inefficient in every way. I have purchased a hand full of dual USB wall plugs for traveling, so that i know when i get my the one oddly placed outlet in retro fitted 17th century french town house to work on my cheap one international adapter that works, I better get more than my phone to plug in. Now compound that with the convenience of walking away, with the outlets power anywhere in the city; it's a fantastic combination. Now you can't go wrong with an Anker charger. Anker has always been, or has at least grown to become, the go to for quality cables and charging devices for me. They are always the one that last beyond others or are built more ruggedly or that will prompt a response if anything were to go awry. Other than that I'd only make one other suggestion atop my previous sideways take, Anker makes great cables. This device at minimum, will need 2 cables. I see an opportunity here for Anker and it's customers to utilize your intimate knowledge of your cable diameters with some sort of cable management, or integration. I hesitate to purchase ones with built in cables as the cable can't be trusted for the long term, so ideally keep it open to the user by include something that die-hard Anker supporters can use to clip on their anger dura II's or something....

I purchased the Anker Fusion 5000 to full charge my cell phone. My phone is the Motorola Z Play Droid. The first time I used the Anker I started charging my phone when it was at 30%. The Anker automatically started to charge my phone when it got connected to the phone itself. The button is not really needed to start charging. I honestly believe the button is there to press and check how much charge is left in the power bank, and that’s about the only reason why it is there. The Anker charges about 1% of the cell phone every 2 minutes so it is not very fast but very consistent (even when the cell phone is being used while charging it is the same percentage to minute ratio). The Anker goes from fully charged to medium charged (3 dots to 2 dots) in 30 minutes of charging the cell phone. It didn’t produce any heat whatsoever on the charger or the phone. It’s quite heavy (this is expected since it has the outlet option designed into it) but that also makes it feel very robust and high quality. This power bank is not exactly for people looking for a small and light power bank. The lighted dots only seem to turn on when it is charging, being charged, or when the button is pressed. The Anker is only good for one full charge if cell phone is at 0-5%. This was expected since my phone has a battery that is about 3100 mAh and using the rule of thumb on power banks (the real charge is only about 2/3 of the rated mAh charge of the power bank) the Anker has a bit more than enough to full charge my phone. Once the Anker is depleted (1 dot is blinking) then it takes about 3.5 hours to fully charge it again (3 dots being solidly lit) from the outlet option. In conclusion, I wanted to compare and contrast my previous experience with various power banks to this Anker product. First point, you need to have a quality brand to provide you with a power bank that has the outlet option to charge itself. Anker is that quality brand. Second point, the price for this Anker power bank is reasonable giving that it is a quality product that I don’t see how it will fail me any time soon. Third point, the product doesn’t need any other feature to do what it is supposed to do. Most of the quality products that are in electronics have a trend, and that is to keep things simple. Besides the batteries that are inside having the ability to malfunction I don’t see any other weaknesses that the Anker power bank may have. Fourth, their customer service has been excellent from multiple sources. I have no doubt that Anker would replace my product if it malfunctions due to its own design within the warranty period. That is very reassuring. Am I planning to purchase another type of power bank? Absolutely. Am I going to purchase only Anker power banks from now on? Absolutely.

I first started buying Anker products a couple of years ago with the purchase of some cords and a battery bank. I have never in my life experienced the customer service and product quality that Anker provides. The products themselves are some of the best (to me the best overall) on the market - I own a PowerCore+ 26800 battery bank, numerous PowerLine family cords, and mircro-USB to type-C converters (my LG v20 is horrible on battery life). They are amazing products, but the PowerCore Fusion adapter adds something extra to the lineup of devices - I can now charge both my phone and my external battery or other devices while knowing that I'll always have a back up bank ready to go in the morning. I love this bank - I've only had it a couple of days and it's already saved my butt in several different situations. I can't speak to the actual energy input, but it charges fast and does what it promises with a beautiful aesthetic - 10/10 product - Anker, please keep up the good work.

UPDATE: I'm leaving the original review below here as it's still relevant, but now I'm writing and adjusting the score to reflect Anker's customer service. When they read my review, they reached out to me and quickly resolved the situation. I've never had some incredible customer service before. They knew I wasn't satisfied with the purchase and did everything they could to fix the situation in a timely manner. I can't tell you how impressed I am. This is an amazing company and even though the initial purchase didn't quite do it for me, the subsequent offer that they gave e to replace this with a larger and better powerbank that was more suitable for my needs, was just great. I'm greatful to them for their help and attention that they give their customers. I'l be purchasing more products from them for sure! >>>>>>> ORIGINAL REVIEW: It's ok. Doesn't give as much of a charge as I was hoping, but it does simplify things and allow me to carry around fewer cables. Super solid, but if you need more juice, just get the bigger anker battery pack and roll with that. Probably wouldn't purchase again, but it's fine.
